Thermal Pipe Expansion

The hot expansion process at Bri-Steel uses induction heating to efficiently expand engineered hollow tube to larger diameters while refining wall thickness to meet specifications.

This environmentally-friendly method heats the pipe quickly, achieving through-thickness expansion and resulting in consistent microstructure and mechanical properties similar to furnace normalizing. Each pipe is tested after expansion to ensure it meets diameter and wall thickness specifications.
